    hi all! so its finally arrived, im so happy with it, this thing is a beast!!

    the graphics are amazing, performance is crazy, the speakers are very quiet but its not too big of an issue;

    im just wondering if anyone has a problem with the keyboard... it regularly misses letters as i type which is actually starting to get kinda frustrating :( ... when i type fast it tends to miss alot more keys but if i type slow and press harder on the keyboard the issue doesnt come up.

    Any time i type fast it does miss alot of keystrokes, id say about 18/100 letters which does get pretty annoying at times... it also tends to come and go in waves where it works fine for a couple of seconds then misses about 3-5 keystrokes in a row....

    any help would be appreciated, thanks!

    What os are you running?

    Also reformatting your comp might help.

    This has also happened to me and a couple others with the Sager NP5796. Don't sweat it for now. They will probably release a bios update or driver that fixes the problem. Also, it seems to go away over time. It never happens to me anymore but happened rarely when I first recieved my laptop for the first 1.5 weeks.

    it could just be a faulty keyboard.. have them swap it for a new one.. its RELE easy to self replace.

    More likely than not due to the OS, as several other people with XP have the problem and not Vista. Also xp/32bit programs work totally fine on vista 64. I have not had any trouble with any apps, it is pretty awesome. I think someone said they called Sager and they said that they XP is not an approved OS since they do not do any testing with it. Which i think is accurate because if you go onto their site their drivers are for vista.

    Have you tried disabling your touch pad? Not sure why this would help but someone else said it did.

    *UPDATE*

    the problem is FIXED!!!! after a couple of phone calls with tech support, it turns out that the synaptics touch driver is conflicting with the keyboard... by uninstalling the driver with device manager then going to control panel and taking out synaptics driver it has fixed the problem, the keyboard is normal and very responsive at the moment i just sacrificed some functionality of the touch pad which is not a big deal for me; it still works fine with the windows driver.

    woot! i can type normally again :D :D

    sager said its a known issue and theyre working on a fix for the driver too.

    hope this helps others with the same problem!

    .. you know what... I do not think there is one.
