This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I got a 8174 a few months ago but I just noticed that I had a problem with my numeric keypad. After going through some suggestions from the vendor (Xotic) which did not resolve the issue, I thought I'd try the community. I'm not sure if this is a hardware or a software problem. I've tried toggling on the NUMLK key, resetting the Flexkeys in the Control Center Utility, but nothing has yet worked. Anybody out there who might have encountered similar problems and figured out a solution?
