hello
i have a serious problem and i don't know what to do
Sometimes when i type something with my keyboard there are different letters in addition. ( I hope that's correct english because i am comming from austria)
Examples:
When i type e there stands: eq
Or when i type v there stands vy
This happens with mostly all letters but the numbers are working great.
its really nerving
When i look on my hardware manager ist sometimes shows me 2 keyboards but not at all time.
When i delete one of the keyboard drivers it works pretty normal but when i restart the laptop a few things can happen:
1. there were two keyboards again
2. there is only one keyboard but it doesn't work normal
3. there is only one keyboard and it's working normal
I also have a bios password and sometimes i write it correctly but it don't work, because the letters in addition.
Then I have to restart the laptop once or twice and then it is correctly
i really don't know what to do, so please help me

that is very strange, I would try reseating the keyboard connector.
In the manual it shows you how to take out the keyboard, so do that, then GENTLY unplug the ribbon cable and plug it back in, making sure you disengage the connector lock first. -
go control panel and click on regional and language and add your prefered keyboard and made it your default keyboard,
otherwise your keyboard is us not german!!! -

thanks for the many answers
i have taken out the keyboard and plugged the ribbon cable back in
It seems like it works now but i can't say it seriously because sometimes it works a while and then it happen again.
But I think that was the problem.
thanks for the great help -
hopefully that's fixed then

If you're getting input errors during BIOS, there's something wrong with the connection (loose keyboard connector - easy to take out the keyboard and reseat) or the keyboard itself (send it in). If it happens again, send the keyboard in for repair (or ask for a new keyboard to be sent to you). However, if it's a keyboard problem, you should be getting boot errors occasionally saying that there is a keyboard error - if you ever do get a error during post/boot (bios + onwards) or a halt/stop during BIOS check, you have a faulty keyboard.
