So I have a q9200 and would like to run the multiplier at 10x or 11x rather than the default 9x.
Is there any way to make this happen? I'm not looking to raise the FSB: I know how to do that but would rather change the multi. How are default multipliers controlled, through the bios cpuid table?
I was looking for a way to pin mod it to fool the CPU into using a 10x multiplier but I just can't seem to find any info online. Any ideas?

He said he doesn't want to raise the FSB.

Okay, then the answer to OP's question is, "No."

We tried some stuff in this thread, but there was no success for the M860ETU.

There has been some people that have found ways to rase multipliers in the OC moralhazard was the one tlaking with the guy -
I believe EVGA E-leet only works with Nehalam CPU's.
I've already tried it with my M860ETU with no success. -
I would also like to unlock my mutliplier on my Q9200... seems like it aint gonna happen

There has been success .. Ask moral hazard about darth vader or something like that writing a piece of data and checking if something is 1 or 0 and being able to write to it... Its something like that

Yes I think darth can do it if you have a Phoenix Trusted Core Bios.
To check if the multi is unlocked see this post:
