    Hi guys.

The fan in my m860tu is a little loose, so my question is how to tighten it?
Do I have to take the keyboard out and get in that way?

What do you mean 'loose'? Does it rattle? If it doesn't make any annoying sounds or hinder the cooling in any way, it's best to leave it as it is.

Yeah it rattles. But when I open from the bottom I can't really find a way to tighten the fan. I can see it, but no screw to tighten.

There's eight screws around it, for for the metal cover, and four larger screws which fasten the fan to the board.

happened to me too, no way to fix it. design flaw.

its only annoying at low fan speeds though so while gaming I don't notice it and any other time I am in silent mode. Its a non-issue for me.

If you can't fix it, send it back. It certainly isn't to be considered a design flaw.

Well there is no warranty anymore, since there was a sticker at the screw in the middle on the bottom panal. So if I remove the bottom panel warranty is lost.. Which seems strange because I know you are allowed to change your RAM. Also when I recieved it the bottom panel was not correctly in place so I had to unscrew it to properly seat the panel.

Edit: Yeah it's only at low RPM. Nothing when gaming

I seriously doubt your warranty has been voided. I'm certain of this.

I need some more detail. Which part of the fan construct is rattling, the fan itself within its black case, or the steel cover that protects it?

who did you purchase it from?

thats stupid that they would put a warranty sticker there.

a customer should have full access to their system to do routine check ups and cleanings.

It's the fan itself, I tightened all other screws, but the fan still rattles at low rpm
