    Is 7690 3dmarks low for the m860tu? i think it's low. i have a p9500 c2d processor, 9800m gts vc, 4gb 1066mhz ram, 320gb 7200rpm hdd. i'm using the beta drivers from the official site of nvidia.

    Hi,

Yeah that score looks on the low side, as a comparison I got ~9100 with everything on default with the same drivers... can you post the breakdown of your score.

Also are you running it whilst on the battery?

    thanks for the reply mrdj.

    I am on high performance.

then again, this problem of mine: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=351300 makes things laggy when the video card is being utilized.

I have a hunch that this is the culprit in having these low 3dmarks score.

Does anyone have any suggestion to fix the problem in the link above?

i replied on the other thread as well. it might be a good idea to contact your OEM where you bought your laptop from as they might have a better idea as they built it.
dont forget im running the GT card so the score will be higher than the GTS card.

maybe 3-500 difference (i might be proved wrong on this).
just explain exactly what youve told us on here. especially the flickering brightness logo bleeding into games.

I watched the video, and from what I saw, the AC adapter wasn't plugged in securely; which is why the brightness dialog kept reappearing.

So you were switching to and from the lower clocked battery mode very quickly, and your performance dropped as a result.

But it is plugged securely as I am on AC power indicated by the battery icon in the taskbar. What will I do?

Thanks. It's PCMW. Do they need to send a replacement VC and a power brick? I don't have to pay for anything right?
