Hey guys,
I've been wanting to upgrade my optical drive to a blu ray burner for while now and I came across a Panasonic blu ray drive that is slot load. So I am wondering if I can put a slot load drive in my laptop or does it have to have a tray?
Here is the link:

Thanks everyone!

The drive should fit fine, however the faceplate will not fit the contours of the notebook like the current drive, so it may look odd.

Thats the one I have in my system and it works well burning and reading Blu Ray.
The installation was simple, just be careful pulling the covering off the DVD burner, I wasn't and had to end up using some electrical tape to support one side which I broke a clip from.
Oh well, works and no one is the wiser.

So there are no gaps or spaces with this drive since the original dvd drive the laptop comes with isn't a perfect rectangle? Do you know what I'm trying to say? :/
Thanks for the fast responses guys! -
