is the size of the M860TU (15.4" screen) really big? I've seen some 15.4" laptops that seems to be huge.
is the M860TU a Centrino 2 Laptop already?

The M860TU isn't much bigger than my other 15" notebook, an Acer Aspire series laptop. Not much at all in fact. Though there is a notiable difference in weight with the Clevo machine being heavier.
The M860TU does indeed run on the latest line of Core 2 Duo Mobile Processors. -
ok size i dont think is bigger than other 15" notebooks out there but the weight is just bit more than normal 15" but then again this thing is a beast so that should expected from it
about centino 2 idk i think it is but wait for some expert advise on that one -

is it that big for you?
-
well technically i only had it for few days before i sent it back but i didnt find it at all heavier or bigger compare to my old hp 15"
ps: i'm reording mine again today finally got the credit for the unit so again 7lb isnt too much for a beast like this one -

yeah, i guess the weight doesn't bother me. it's the screen size that bothers me. im afraid it will catch the attention of passersby, lol.. considering that the laptop itself doesn't have "the looks" like other hp laptops.
-
If they know their stuff then it's bound to catch the eye of a 'passerby' anyway. Admittidely, I like the subtle 'you may not think much of me but I'll tear your laptop up' look of the machine. Much better than the all-singing, all-dancing billboard that is the M15X.
Also if it's theives that you're worried about then it won't matter what laptop you go for. They don't tend to discriminate when it comes to easy money. I've known incidences where really cheap laptops have gone 'missing'. -
The M860TU is thicker and heavier than general usage 15'' laptop (eg .Macbook Pro, Inspiron, etc.) but its still the same Width and Lenght
But its not heavier nor thicker than other 15'' gaming laptops (eg .m15x, G50vt).
Personally, I don't find it thicker than other laptops. Its just normal sized. I could complain about the weight but for the power inside, that's OK for me -
Centrino 2 is merely branding for laptops that happen to be running several pieces of hardware.
1) You need the Intel Wireless card, 5300/5100.
2) Any of these chipsets- GL40, GS45, GM45, GM47 or PM45)
3) Montevina processors
Don't worry about the Centrino 2 branding. -
