I am seeing SSD mSATA drives a bit cheaper than comparables SSD SATA, i am wondering if there is any inconvenience to use the mSATA slot for the OS drive instead of the SATA one. Is there any issue about that? In one of SATA slots i am thinking to put a common HDD for storage.
W370ST is sometimes said to have one mSATA slot and 2 SATA slots but i am not sure if the mSATA is not instead of one SATA's CLEVO - Products

This pretty much covers the performance differences between mSATA and SATA SSDs

The W370ST has two 2.5" SATA slots and one mSATA slot. So, you have many configuration options. -

Actually SSDs can have their channels filled by the 4 chips (2 channels per chip), they are therefore maxed (as usual at 256gb or 500GB for the latest double density devices).

Thanks everyone.

As an example, the Plextor M5M 256GB mSATA and the Plextor M5 Pro Xtreme 256GB SSD both use the Marvel 88SS9187 controller and Toshiba 19nm NAND. The Marvel is an 8 channel controller with interleaving. The M5M only uses 4 controller channels while the Xtreme uses all 8.

While the M500 and M4 from crucial both perform the same in mSATA or 2.5".
Looks like plextor decided not to go for the dual channel chips. -
Apparently, most mSATA use 4 channels.

Nah, he just has not checked properly, for instance lower channels would mean lower IOPS but as I pointed out the crucial M500 480GB is listed the same either in mSATA or SATA 2.5".

I'm waiting for the M500 480GB mSATA.
I haven't seen a review of it anywhere. Yes, I saw the specs are the same on crucial.com
Most not allHe does review an 8 channel Mushkin Atlas 480GB in the link.
