I just received my first Clevo yesterday, the W650SR (Sager NP6652). I installed a Crucial M500 mSATA drive that I had purchased online and setup Windows 7 on the mSATA. Install went fine and the driver CD Sager provided. I installed a bunch of software and noticed that Windows had 165 updates! As it was doing the updates, I got a Blue Screen (on number 162 of 165!). No problem, I've seen this happen before and allowed the system to reboot. When Windows 7 tried to load again, I received the inaccessible boot device error. I tried a recovery from the Windows CD, but it failed. The mSATA is no longer visible in the BIOS. I checked both Clevo/Sager/LPC's (where I purchased the laptop) website, but there are no BIOS updates on this laptop yet. I checked Crucial's website and there is no firmware update for this model yet. I've tried re-seating the drive, various BIOS settings, but am having no luck. As of right now, I took the mSATA out of the machine for the day, while I'm at work. I'm hoping when I go home that it will be recognized and I will be back up and running. My other google machine has led me to this page on Crucial's website, which is nice to know that I'm not the only one that this has happened to. The only problem is I can't get this drive to become visible again. Any suggestions?

TL;DR: New Laptop; BSOD; mSATA disappears

If the drive or port went down, there's not much you can do for it (it's probably not something a BIOS update will resolve either - especially if everything else is working as it should),

Get in touch with your seller, as the mSATA drive may need replaced. :)

I've spoken with Crucial's support, who forwarded this page to me. After spending 80+ minutes trying this, it's been determined the drive is dead. I am going to RMA the drive. In the meantime, I just purchased a Plextor M5M 256GB mSATA drive at a local shop, so I can get this machine setup. Windows is installing now, but I will keep my fingers crossed that I can get through it this time.
