Hey all,
So I have a Malibal Lotus P151HM1 and I don't think its perform as well as it should
I noticed when playing games (TF2, starcraft II CS:S to name a few) it wouldn't play as well as it should
I performed a bunch mark test with futuremark, and got a score of 10600. Futuremark stated that these scores were low compared to others with similar systems
this laptop is only about a month old, why you no work right! what should I do?
here are my specs
Nvidia 560M
Intel i7 2630m
8gigs of ram
500gig 7200 rpm harddrive
-
ask your reseller if you can return it.
-
I just completed some updates and restarted my comp, got scores to around 13000
I doubt i can return it to malibal its been over a month, and i hope there is a less drastic move than to have to RMA hopefully?
-
hmmm i dunno what an okay score should be for a p150hm1, but I am pretty sure you can return your system to malibal since they are so awesome.
And they were even more awesome to me on the first place by refusing to sell me a system. -
Which video drivers are you using?
-
-
My video driver is the most update one, i just updated it
as for expectations, being able to play games like tf2 at like at least medium at like 50-60 fps (was hoping for that)
what made me realise that it wasn't performing as it should be was when I did the benchmark score and noticed it scored a bit low, i am about 1000-1500 below the average -
i play with the same laptop bfbc2 at 60fps in 1080, lfd2 at 100fps, bf3 beta at 1600x900 at 78fps so you can expect much from a 1300
-
-
i got the same problem as you !! and i also got it like 2 months ago...
for bfbc2, i got 60fps only in 1280x800 but with medium settings.... -
SO i just ran cs, it ran fine avg 55-60 on highish settings, when i went to tf2, on medium, it ran at 20ish fps, thats not really acceptable for a laptop with these specs
-
Maybe it is on power saver mode?
-
...... you sir, might be one of the smartest people in the world, I am in a chemistry major in college hahaha! it was, gonna go test it out
-
-
Try high settings in bfbc2 and tell me what fps you get..
If Vsync is on, the video card only renders at the screen refresh rate, which is 60fps. -
wow, it runs great, i feel so dumb, ... ryan, you my best friend <3
-
High settings with 1280x800 --- around 50 fps -
take the lighting and shadows off
-
OK, I dont know how it should normally run, the 560m is not a top-end card..
Can anybody with bfbc2 and 560m compare to his fps results? -
-
-
go to advance in the settings remember that gtx560m its a gtx 550 so is not a high graphic card so forget about aa and af on modern games
-
i play bf3 everything low at 1080p (same as medium) at 44-60 fps even in caspian border !
-
This thread made me laugh. Every time I've ever had problems with my laptop running slower than usual, it's always been because it's on power saver mode. I usually default to checking this first now, but occasionally I'll sit there a few minutes wondering " is going on...."
-
Sometime I accidently turn my power strip off, which turns it to battery/power saving mode. Everything starts running SOOO slow and I'm like ?!

Scores around 10k in 3DMark Vantage are right on the money for the 560m, not low. See benchmarks here:

i was wondering what you guys are experiencing with BF3? High or Ultra even possible with this Laptop?
-
Ultra, no.
As I mentioned, GTX 560m is not a top-end gaming card.
