so my idiot roommate left a space heat on directly facing my laptop, and now the back panel and part of the monitor of my 5760 have melted. there seems to be no functionality problems with the pc, but i was wondering how much to expect for repairs?

I would ask your roommate to cover the cost of the repairs...it will be several hundred to replace the entire LCD screen.

I would be a few hundred to replace the case, if there is only cosmetic damage you don't have to fix it but I would recommend that you do... when I first read the title I thought the GPU or CPU overheated a bit much lol....

yea, all damage is cosmetic, including damage to casing at the base of the monitor
