Maybe too early to talk about it, but I need to know if it is possible before I buy the X9000. :p

Heck if you have the 1000$ price tag for it , sure!
I don`t see why not. 45W, probably a BIOS revision,or a mobo one, but I am confident that mobile quads will hit the market this summer.

Why? Intel will use the 1066 fsb and socket B in montevina for mobile quads. I believe its extreme-only and will come out q4.

Yup, which means that you would need the montevina platform

No official word on a possible upgrade just yet.I`m pestering every reseller for an official word, but not yet.

I dunno man, I'd say that the X9000 is the best bet- even over a quad- because you got the high speed (overclockable) and many programs don't even use qaud or use it poorly. IMO an extreme dual core will be a better choice for about 1-2 years until quad technology gets popular. A quad definitely won't help in gaming for a while.

imo even the x9000 is not worth the money.. it only really help in benches and in certain apps. really not much difference in games

Yep, I say the T9300 is the best bang for the buck, and will be for a little while.

trust me i own the x9000... lol.. imo the most i would go for is the t9500 but even that has almost no significant gains over the 9300.. i actually wish i saved a couple hundred (even though i got this x9000 dirt cheap due to money owed to me) and got the 9300 instead

I know your trying to sound modest and all but you have one heck of a processor, and if I had the money I would have bought it for sure. Maybe the T9300 is the best value but the X9000 is still quite a beast and can be overclocked very nicely.

quadcore is prob worth that money... tbh.. it could literally dubble the laptops life span for high end gaming...

    who knows.

The M570RU came out in Q2.

Regarding the mobile quad core, Intel's roadmap isn't letting anything slip, because the roadmap makes no mention of ANY mobile quads (Penryn or Montevina) in '08 that I've seen. Doesn't mean they don't have plans for it, but if they do, they're hiding those plans from everyone (even us resellers).
