Ok so, when I got my monitor, if you recall I said I had no dead pixels, and I'm pretty sure I still don't. The only very minor issue I had with my screen was that for a new screen with a resolution like mine and a video card like mine, the colors are not as vivid and rich as I've seen on other laptops at like best buy and stuff. However, I've just experienced a new issue adn any input would be appreciated.
Sometimes whenI watch a movie on my laptop and then open up a web browser, the pixels from the movie show through in the browser. What's up with that? It looks like I temporarily have a massive amount of dead pixels.. Anyone know what's up with that?

Sounds like a video driver issue. When was the last time you updated your drivers? Might want to do that:

Nvidia cards have a feature called "Digital Vibrance Control" - it can be found in your video card control panel. It will make colors more vibrant and stand out more, a nice feature. -
Do you recommend a certain driver? I remember when I first got my laptop, you were saying something like the new drivers weren't as good as the stock ones, or something like that.

Right now, use the XtremeG drivers; take a look at the note I put under the LaptopVideo2Go drivers, some posters have been having issues with them.
Let us know how it goes. -
I will, thanks!
Also, WOW changing the digital vibrance, sharpening things a bit, and changing the gamma a tad REALLY boosted up my screen quality. I can see a huge difference. -
I'm assuming the drivers at extremeG work for all the nvidia cards, since I don't see it specifying...?
Sorry, I know I'm ignorant. -
I dont see anything on the vid card control panel the lets me change the Digital Vibrance. Wanna take a screen shot so i know what im looking for?

Ok, so I've been using the 93.71 drivers from xtremeg for a few days now. I haven't experienced anymore of those dead pixel-esque issues, so that's good. The drivers come with new options too, or I think they are new because I didn't notice them before on the stock drivers. Basically I enabled a few new options like allow my window to be transparent when I'm moving it and stuff. The option could have very well been there already..
I did like the navigation and easy options menus on the stock drivers better though. Not too happy with them on 93.71, but no biggie. I don't go in that menu often anyway.
Thanks again chaz. -
ok, i didn't even have a movie open hthis time and i got the blue "dead pixel"y thing.. Any other suggestions?

No opinions, even from Chaz or Gophn!?

oK, simething is really wrong with my monitor. Now, for the past few days whenever i put my notebook on hibernate, when I try to start it up again, the computer starts but the monitor doesn't come back. I then have to restart my computer to get it to work... Should I just call sager?
-
o crap, sorry.
forgot to check out this post for a while.
Thats a strange problem. I would give Sager, or better yet, Powernotebooks an email.
Let me check out that problem since I got the same notebook. -
i'd have to call discountlaptops, cause that's who I bought it from. I'll call them and also await your reply. Thanks.
