First off i want to Thanks Xotic and Sager for all their Help getting this Laptop.

    The Story

I ordered a 5792 in Dec 28th with these specs.

    T7700 CPU
    80 Gig HDD
    8800 GPU
    4 Gig of Ram
    Vista Premium 64
    and other standard crap

ok between the time when it was shipped from Sager to me.
Xotic announced the release of the Penryn CPU and the 5793 Case upgrades.

well being the same price point i contacted Xotic about swapping my CPU for the T9300. which they were more then happy to do. The contacted Sager and their Tech talked to me about what i want.

I really just wanted the new CPU T9300. but why there i asked if they could do the fan firmware update and upgrade the case to 5793. they didnt see a problem. They issued the RMA and i sent the laptop in. I had the laptop in my hands less then a week. been in a hurry to send the laptop in i forgot to pull out my Call of Duty 4 dvd from the player. i emailed Allen at Sager Asap soon as i knew about it and he said no problem.

Sager would just Swap over to the new case. my HDD, Ram and video card and add the new CPU. SWEET....

Well tonight the 5793 came back to me from UPS.
First thing i did was install my Western Digital 320Ggig HDD. i imaged the 80 gig onto the 320 with Trueimage 11 ( great program).

My new specs are as follows.
    T9300 CPU
    8800 GPU
    4 gig Ram
    320 iGig HDD
    Vista Prem 64

    and other standard crap

    ok the Scores.

Before my WEI score was 4.8

    here is is now.

Now i dont know why the 3dmark05 score is so big but here it is.

I am very happy with the service from Xotic and Sager.

    2 Thumbs up!!

    Congrats :)

Please do some Crysis benchmarks using the Crysis Benchmark Tool hehe

oh and a typo in your system specs, unless you really do have 320 gigs ram :)

    Mecha,

can you do a wPrime benchmark (for multi-core CPUs) for me?

i want to see how your CPU compares to others. Please post a snapshot.

    Thanks.

    That's because it's the T9500, while he had a T9300.

Not to belabor the point but for accuracy's sake, the statement reads"These scores are top for all the other mobile CPU scores". If that means that those scores are the best so far for mobile CPU's then my statement is correct. If there is another meaning, thenI stand corrected. Thanks

With the price differences between T9300 vs. T9500 I thought the T9500 would give more then 0.015 seconds in performance…..

Well...okay...but it's still fifteen thousandths of a second (15/1000). I thought games like crysis were bottlenecked by the video card?

Oh well, that's enough from me.

    no hostility here bud.
for the price different between the T9500 and T9300 that fraction on a performance boost isnt worth it.

he was so concerned that gophn had mistated something...
    Who really cares.

Not here to make a top of a performance list or a populatity contest.

ES CPUs should not enter any comparison tables. The T9500 works at 2.6 Ghz, which is 100 Mhz more than a T9300, therefore the little difference between them.

Could we get back on topic here please? You all have very respectable laptops, let's just leave it at that and move on.
