Every now and then when I move the computer around or sometimes just rest my hand on the palmrests it causes my dvd tray to pop open....the actual dvd eject button seems to be working properly but I have no idea whats going on. Anybody seen this before? I leave the continent in 6 days so sending it back to xotic is not really an option...

PS: Except for this minor flaw, I have no other issues. I don't find it too hot, noisy, or large....

Is it the actual drive opening or the drive cover coming loose/off? Someone else said something about the drive cover being kind of loose.

Sounds like the catch is loose or something so it opens too easily. If you're feeling adventurous, take it out and pop the drive open...

if you want, you can get a replacement optical drive.

you do not have to send in your unit, just contact your vendor to do a cross-ship for a new optical drive.

Here are the instructions for removing the drive. I would recommend re-seating it. If that does not work, then contact Sager. They maybe able to cross ship you another drive before you leave.

Hi treezee, what was the outcome of that problem? Did it happen again?
