I downloaded ATI tray tools to try OCing my 6990m. I havent changed anything except going into hardware>overclock and changed the 1.10 voltage clocks a little bit. it was something like 300 core and 400 memory? something lower than the stock clocks like that, just to see if it works right
then the screen started spazzing and creating all these artifacts. they obscured so much of the screen that I could not restore the settings. So i restarted the computer, hoping the settings would reset, but the artifacts were still there, and now it BSODs before i can do much. the bsod says attempt to restart video driver caused timeout or something like that. where can i access the BSOD log by the way?
anyways i dont know what to do. Im currently writing through safemode with networking. booting normally immediately causes the artifacts and then seconds later, BSOD

Your problem is going to be changing the voltage most likely, I had the same issue with my 5870M changing the voltage causes it to have a nervous breakdown because it effects the 2D settings.
I posted in your other thread to tell you what to do and that should fix it if not post back. -
thanks its back to full speed now. man was i spooked though lol
+ REP!!
