    Okay, I'm about to lose it! I've had my Sager NP5793 for about 7 months and I've had my screen go blank twice since then. The first time was due to the GPU and I have a feeling this time is the same... They had to install a new GPU. Has anyone experienced such issues? I mainly use it for work and run SolidWorks and AutoCAD. I want to make sure it's not something I'm doing before I go crazy.

    I purchased it from XoticPC and was wondering if anyone has returned a laptop due to repeat issues? I'm going to be screwed over the holidays with out my laptop... Looks like I will be in the office... :mad:

    OS= Vista Business 32 bit
    Gpu = Nvidia 8800gtx
    Bios = whatever was new back in August...

    There have been a few times when my screen has gone blank, come back after a second or two, and I got a windows notification saying that my graphics driver crashed and recovered. It happened a couple of times right out of the box on day one...then it pretty much disappeared. i think it happened maybe once more ever since then. i'm not really sure what caused it, but it never seemed to do any harm...and it never happened while gaming. I'm yet to see it occur with the new Nvidia drivers. granted, i only installed them two days ago.

    hmmmm... My screen would never go blank during use. It was always during boot. Both times it happened during boot a day later. This is really frustrating! I like the machine, but I will probably sell due to repeat issues.

    Anybody else??

    make sure the BIOS is the latest version.

    to test, make sure that a disc in not in the Optical Drive, as well as USB devices not connected to the notebook during bootup.
