I helped my friend ordered and set up a Sager NP2090 because he needed a laptop for college, and for the most part its been really nice. However, I am getting some serious lag even in casual gaming. I can't even play Fable Lost Chapters at lowest graphical settings and resolution without multiple lags every 5-10 seconds where the framerate will drop below 10 fps. Geometry Wars, which is even made for Vista, has the same problem at low resolutions without antialiasing. The x1600 on my s96j can handle both of those without problems, so I know something must be wrong.

After installing Vista (x86), I installed all the drivers from the CD, including the video card drivers. I can't figure out how to use the ones from laptopvideo2go - they all seem to say that they are incompatible. Is there some extra file I have to download or an FAQ that I missed?

The system has 2gb of ram, so I'm pretty sure that it is a driver or card related problem.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Also, what are your guys' Windows Experience Rating? I have a 4.5 on Aero Performance - is that too low? even if the score is dependent on screen resolution (i have the wsxga+), i would think it would be higher than that. Gaming is 4.8, which also seems low for this card. Maybe I'm just used to building desktops...

Im having some similiar issues, though in my case i was told it was because of RAM; so I'm buying some more ram... should be hear tuesday. Just curious does ur harddrive LED stay solid or constantly working while u play the game. I noticed that it did for me, but after around 10 minutes it would stop and then the game would become smooth.
