i had this new laptop for less than a day now..
and all of sudden, i got this blue screen saying that windows is shutting down to prevent any damage. the screen last only a couple seconds as this counter thing goes up to 100. when it restarts, within the 1st few seconds of boot, it comes up again.
i haven't done any critical changes to the system or bios or anything like that. seems very random.
so i basically cant boot up my computer and use it now.
i know this error is very ambiguous, but it literary comes on my screen for a few seconds before it restarts.
has anyone else got this problem or know of a fix?
(im typing from my desktop)_

I would suggest first running Memtest86 to test your memory.
To test your RAM, please download Memtest86 from:
http://memtest.org/download/1.70/memtest86+-1.70.iso.zip
Extract this file, then use a program like Nero or DeepBurner to burn the .ISO image to a CD-R (make sure you use the "Burn Image to Disc" option, rather than dragging and dropping the ISO onto a CD).
Once the CD-R has burned, boot your computer off of this CD-R (you may have to go into your BIOS to change the DVD boot priority to number one). Memtest will run continually until you press "Escape" to stop it. It is generally a good idea to let Memtest run at least 4 hours, though most technicians will suggest letting it do an overnight burn-in of your memory.
There will be an error-readout in the lower-right corner of the information display.
If Memtest does find errors, you may want to test each stick of RAM individually if you have more than one SODIMM. -
How are your temperatures?
