Hi, I just got this laptop and have noticed that when I lock the computer or close the screen the laptop draws its power from the battery, even though I have it plugged in. I have searched and not found anything so now I am posting here hoping for an answer. Thanks for any help

what do you mean? that the battery light is on? Because unless the computer is off, plugged in, and fully charged, the battery light will always be on.
