recently my laptop has been having a few problems, sometimes when I'm browsing the internet or opening media player windows will bsod with BAD_POOL_CALLER. I've only been getting it since switching to windows 7 and the memory seems alright.

The other thing is at times the desktop will lockup and only the mouse will still be visible but upon moving the cursor the rest of the screen with go dark red and corrupted looking, and the more I move the cursor the worse the image degrades, then I have to switch off and on as ctl+alt+del has no effect.

anyone had these issues with these notebooks? The funny thing is it's never done this while playing power hungry games like crysis or bc2.

shall I just chalk these issues up to be windows 7 issues? also the cooling seems fine, it doesn't go nuts when the laptop locks up.

so no one has any thoughts on these problems? if it was over heating, surely my games would crash but they don't.

    Hi Ran!

It really seems as if you have a drivers conflict, but it is not a for sure thing. Have you tried different video drivers to see if it changed anything? The problem(s) you describe could also be memory related.

Now I can answer your question about "Should I chalk this up as a windows 7 problem"? No. But if you start experiencing those problems again, then take one memory module out and see if it continues to give you that error message. I just hope everything works out alright with updating your drivers. But if not, it very well could be memory related.
