    I got the stock thermal compound on the system, does it void warranty if I was to repaste the cpu with MX4?

    That shouldn't void your warranty as long as you don't physically damage the unit. If you need to know how to disassemble the machine so you can get in and do the repaste, here is a handy guide for you.
