I just picked up a new to me np8130 with the gtx 560m gpu. I have just noticed that when I force fans on high the (gpu?) fan under the right hand side of the keyboard, or maybe both seems to clock down for just a moment every 4 seconds or so. anyone experience this before? I have only found people complaining of fan noise.
any bios updates I'm just not finding?

    running windows 8.1

oh and its been years since I posted here, as I scrapped my broken old np9262 after a long tiresome debacle with an infamous salesman/reseller who takes peoples money and shuts down shop only to pop up under a different name somewhere else. hope this np8130 doesn't give me such grief!

Very well could be BIOS related. Which version are you on?

    That's normal!
It is called “pulsing” and occurs when we use full fan override. It’s caused by how the EC works…it has been like this since HM series models…
If CPU or GPU reach a temperature, where it normally would adjust the fan speed, the “full speed option” overwrites it causing this small delay.
So for example when the temp is low the pulsing is stronger as it would normally shut the fans down, when the load/temp is higher it is much less as the EC doesn't try to adjust the fans constantly into an other spinning speed.

Same on my old P150HM and current W370ET does it too.
    Normal.
