    Hey there,
First off,.. Great forum! Very helpful people here :)
Anyways, I can't decide which sager to purchase. I got it between the np8130 and the 50. Gtx 560m or HD6990m. I've read just bad stuff about ati drivers. .. but I want a laptop that's somewhat future-proof and that'll be able to play future games at med-high settings with decent gps.
    Ahh, decisions.
If I get the 8130 will I be able to update the 560 with better cards when they become cheaper?
Please help me make up my mind! :D

Right now, the P151HM1 is limited to the 560m/460m on the stock power supply. You could buy a higher power 180w PSU like the one on the P150HM if you wanted to upgrade. Buying MXM video cards after-market is rather expensive though for upgrading, so you're better getting a decent card right off the bat.

If you want something more "future proof" you may have more luck getting the P150HM with the 485m. For around the same price as the 6990, you can get the 485m which isn't much slower. (roughly 10% difference). The 560m, by comparison is about 1/2 the speed.

I'd go with the 6990m. ATI drivers aren't that horrible. If you are that worried you can get the 485m, same price, and is far better than the 560m.

    EDIT: Malibal ninja'd me.

Future proof is really relative. How often do you plan on buying a new system and where does your budget fit in with your timelines. My brother buys a new system every 6 months and never gets top of the line. This works for him because he can resell his laptop for close to what he paid for it, then get the next "not top of the line" system.

I tend to also not get top of the line, but a little better than he does, but my purchase cycle is 3 years in most cases. I'm at that point already with my Dell XPS m1530, and leaning towards the NP8130. A 560m more than meets my needs (playing mostly older games), but gives me the flexibility to play newer games on decent settings.
