    How come only Xoticpc includes an option to upgrade the sound card on the np8660. (Sager+ other vendors don't)

    its an express card slot in. it will still work on laptops bought from sellers that dont offer it themselves.

    you should be able to use the software in the Creative sound card to use the internal speakers.

    Even my old PCMCIA Audigy 2 ZS can use the internal speakers. :)

    Wrong,you can use both the internal speakers and external ones in the same time.
    Exactly.
    My xi-fi allows me to have the card inside the slot, and when there nothing connected to it, the internal speakers are being used :)
