    Hi Everyone,
I've got the following issue with the audio driver:

When the Realtek HD Audio driver is installed the speakers get much quieter. (I have the volume in the Windows Audio Mixer and in the Realtek HD Audio Manager set to the max.)
When the driver is uninstalled the speakers get much louder, but the built-in microphone stops working after the first reboot.

Is there a way to have the loud speakers and have the mic working?

I think solving this would benefit all np8662 users.

Let me see if I got this right, people actually uses the inbuilt speakers? Invest in some headphones or better speakers.

    @ Didado

My opinion does not require your approval, luckily. My statement still stands.

OP: Search the web for drivers and try them out. I`m guessing there are software which "helps" too.

You should also try out the Demo of SRS Audio Sandbox too.

external speakers also get quieter with these drivers. and noisier if you turn up the volume knob. I was wondering if its possible to get a separate driver for the mic?

    thanks for your help.
I got the 2.47 from station-drivers.com. It's just like the driver I had before.
So after I uninstall this driver, but before I reboot, the speakers are loud and the mic works, how can I keep the computer in this state? Back up some files?
With SRS Audio Sandbox only Firefox has a sound, the media players don't.

Maybe some old files are not good uninstalled..

Uninstall realtek HD audio 2.47 than use

    (DO THIS IN SAFEMODE)

    "Driver sweeper"

    http://downloads.guru3d.com/Guru3D---Driver-Sweeper-(no-installer)_d1672.html

Can also uninstall missed uninstalled old realtek audio files

After you cleaned with driver sweeper, clean your registry with

    "CCleaner"

    http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/portable

Turn off "unused file extensions" because this can cause problems otherwise its safe..
It wil find also lots of realtek files..

(Do this more than one time because CCleaner registry cleaner will not find everything the first time)

    REBOOT and install 2.47 again..

    Hopes it helps ;)
