Hi! I just updated my BIOS to 0.17, tried both clevo's and sager one. And they both looks like .

By that i'm talking about the ugly windows 98 status bar or what ever you call it before boot loader kicks in to boot your choice of os.

Is there any way to remove the windows 95 looking status bar and just have a clean and simple logo?

    Thank You :)

It was always like this even before the .17 BIOS, wasn't it?

Hi! I'm not sure, my np8662 came with the 0.16 version and it didn't have any bar at all to be honest, hell not even a logo.

Sounds like this is something I have to live with :p

    Thanks

well, you could try some branded BIOS, but that seems silly to me.

My m570tu has a style note BIOS. I think it might still have the bar though.

You could disable to boot splash screen. I always do that.

I'm really failing to see what the issue is here...

It's not like this is something one has to stare at for hours on end each day...

You're talking about the blue bar, which appears under the Style-Note, yes?

That's been there since the launch day M860TU shipped. It's going nowhere.
