hey what up. I just recently received my np8662 and I love it. However, I do get these random glitch sounds or beeping every once in a while. It is noticeable and is relatively high pitch. It happens sometimes after playing music on youtube and also like at idle with just some minimal apps running. Could it be a heat issue? The beeps have no pattern just random. I upgraded to the most recent drivers for audio so idk if it relates to that. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Thanks

You're not talking about the PC speakers/low-batt beep right? If so, I think I know what you mean. Sometimes when watching a vid or playing a game short intermittent high-pitched rings are emitted. Also, on another weird note, scrolling in the browser produces audible interference from the speakers.

I think it's to do with the low-quality speakers; I'd bet nearly half of the audio range produced by the average game/video is out of the audio range for the speakers which causes those high-pitched squawks. One way to test that theory (and rule out the audio drivers) is to try it with headphones and/or on linux.

Are you sure it is not the hard disk?
