    Any other details?

Can you detect any networks, and it just won't connect?
    Are there no networks available?
Does Windows detect your wireless card?

Have you selected the router or network you wish to connect to and clicked Connect (or equivalent). You can set a profile to connect automatically, but you will need to do it manually the first time or go to Start|Control Panel|Network & Internet|Set up a new connection or network and then follow the prompts.

I'm having the exact same problem and it's really making me frustrated. My wireless DOES work but only when I'm in the same room as the router. It doesn't work in my room or anywhere that's farther. This is really strange because my Sager 2090 works perfectly fine wirelessly in my room. What gives?

Be sure your router's and wireless programs are using at least the "g" protocol (and "n" if available). Both a and b are slower and have much less range.
