Anyone know how to enable 3d vision on an np9150 with a 680m on an external display (Asus VG278h)?
I have had no luck trying different connections, drivers or anything. Is there a way to do this?

Well I just figured out that the DVI output is a single-link DVI port
what a dissapointment. Do you think that it would be possible to get a Displayport to Dual Link DVI adapter to get the monitor to run at 120hz? I hear thats what people do with Eyefinity on a single card and 3 monitors since most do not have Displayport inputs? I have hooked up my Displayport to a 30" screen so I know it can do 2560x1600@60hz.

Edit: Confirmed I can run 120hz on my Acer H5360 via Hdmi and via my Bizlink DP adapter. -
HDMI can't do 120hz@1080
-
Over HDMI 1.3a it sure can on older panels. Now I know your screen is 1.4 rather than the older 3D Vision screens from Alienware, Ben Q and Acer which did 1080p@120hz on 1.3. For your screen you likely need a 1.4 cable.

In any case, I believe most of the DP adapters are single link. This is the dual link one I have, rock solid - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dell-BizLink-DisplayPort-Adapter-Powered/dp/B003XYBA72

As far as I know HDMI 1.4 does 3d @ 24/30hz not 120hz which is needed for 3d vision. -
So I got a converter that can do Displayport to DVI-Dual Link and now I have an ASUS 3d 120hz display working in Windows 7 (at 120hz), but now how do I enable 3d vision? I can't find any drivers or apps that can enable 3d vision for me, even though the 680m can do it on an alien ware 17x? I doubt anything is different other than the drivers...

Did you get this to work?
I want to buy this laptop, but unsure if I can play in 3D via HDMI 1.4 on a 3Dtv.
If I can't, then I'll just get the 7970m. -
Well the 3D Vision drivers should come with any of the display drivers. After that it is an option to enable in the nvidia control panel. My guess is that it isn't included in the beta drivers you have?

Reviving this thread becaues I would like to see if any progress has been made on this subject. My research so far has indicated that one either has the choice of optimus or 3D vision but not both. The NP9150 has all of its display adapters through the Intel mobile card, and as such the 680m doesn't have hard contact with the monitor to output the 3D vision.
In my case the option for installing the 3d vision drivers isn't even offered. Further manually clicking on the 3D vision set up goes no further than extraction.
If anyone has found a work around please let me and the rest of the NP9150 members know! -
Any body have any info on this?

I have a feeling that both NVIDIA 3D Vision and 3DTV Play are not possible on the P1x0EM due to NVIDIA Optimus and the muxless configuration Clevo have chosen.
It is the iGPU which controls and feeds the display outputs and that is unable to offer 120Hz.
Please someone chime in if I'm wrong. -

Because the NVIDIA driver cannot see the display, only the Intel driver can. Hence the problem.

Any solution for this problem OPTIMUS x 3DTV PLAY?
I have a Clevo P150EM with Nvidia Gtx 675mx. 3dtv Play didnt recognize my 3d tv sony hx755. Seens that hdmi output is conected on integrated board Intel hd4000...
Will Nvidia correct this issue with a driver update or its not possible?
Sorry my poor english

Its a shame from Nvidia this issue!
I actually managed to play some games in 3D using TriDef, but it seems that games are not well configured and some games like Batman Arkham City do not work... -

Yeah there are a couple programs like that I believe and unfortunately they aren't perfect.

Thanks Derek!

I also want to get this working, however over HDMI 1.4 I have been unsuccessful getting my 3DTV to pick up the 3D signal
If you figured this out, please post
