Hello everyone, I'm thinking of buying an NP9262 from xoticpc but I need to know how much is there to pay for taxes, shipping and other fees or extra payments because I'm running on a really tight budget and I need to know exactly how much i have to pay, also if anybody has bought one using wire transfer i would like to know to which bank you have to transfer so I can see if I have to pay comission to the bank, and by the way I'm having it shipped inside the US, if anyone can help me I will trully apreciate it because I'm in a bit of a hurry to buy it.

Unless you live in Nebraska, or the system is being shipped to Nebraska, you won't pay sales tax when you purchase from XoticPC. The only charge that isn't stated on XoticPC's configuration page is the shipping fee; however, a quick email or pm to justin@xoticpc will get a reply with the amount of the shipping fees for the various shipping permutations.

Wire transfer charges are usually charged to you by your own bank (i.e., the sending bank) and do not depend on what bank the transfer is going to (i.e., the recipient bank), unless of course you happen to bank at the same bank as XoticPC and that bank has waived the fee for intra-bank transfers (most banks still charge a fee for making a transfer to a commercial account that you do not own yourself).

just take a walk with money in hand to the bank that xotic deals with and transfer the money to them. If you go to their bank there shouldn't be any charges. Thats how I paid for mine.

That's probably the best way to do it - then again, you're not really engaging in a wire transfer, you're just making payment by delivery to the payee's agent, in this case the payee's bank. Still, considering that you're saving yourself 3% of the normal asking price, that's worth quite a long walk, if you ask me. :D

The best way to pay for an expensive item like this is by credit card, and then when the bill comes pay it off in full. This gives you protection in case something goes wrong with the item or the seller.

For an added layer of protection, pay with PayPal that you fund with a credit card. ;)

Yeah that was my first option but it can be a really big problem because I live in mexico but I'm shipping it to my aunt's house who live's in the states In order to prevent problems with customs which can be a real pain in the and I will have to pay with my credit card and it really is a problem when it comes to shipping to a different adress that the one that appears in the credit card and if I pay it with pay pal I will have to ship it to the exact adress listed on my credit card and they get most of their profits by increasing the currency change of the dolar, and as I already said I'm running on a really tight budget. :frown:

Just as an FYI to anyone else worried about shipping to an address other than the billing address on their credit card (and who's using a credit card to make the purchase) - you can avoid any unpleasantness if you want to ship to an address other than your billing address by telling your credit card company beforehand that you're going to be making the purchase and by asking them to list that other address on your account as an alternate shipping address. That way, since they know the purchase is coming, when the transaction is cleared through their systems it won't raise any fraud red flags, and when the merchant verifies the shipping address you provided, the credit card company will be able to verify that that is a valid shipping address.

I have tried that several times, and every time, even though I have specified clearly an "alternate shipping address" my bank keeps changing my main address...Idiots
