    Hi every1,

I just received my Sager 9261 yesterday and tried to do some benchmarking. I'm running Vista Business 64. The Video driver keeps resetting with the message:

"Display driver nvlddmkm has stopped responding and recovered"

Happens 5 out of every 6 tries when running 3DMark06. Also glitches during Call of Juarez DX10 benchmark demo.

My driver is reported in the control panel as 156.66 (7.15.11.5666).

I'm about to try some different drivers but I thought I'd ask here first.

Any ideas? (and plz no "switch to XP" spam)

You could switch to XP... :p

Anyway, go to LaptopVideo2Go and update your drivers to the latest that were WHQL certified. Try that and see if it helps...oh, and use Driver Cleaner Pro to make sure you do not get conflicting drivers when you install the new ones.

I just got off the phone with Sager and they said the current Vista nVidia driver for 8700's doesn't support SLI correctly.

So I'm stuck until a new driver is available :(.

Sorry folks, no 8700 benchmarks yet!

Although I'm confused because Justin posted some 9261 screens with 8700 SLI benchmarks in 3DMark06.

This is the problem we discussed here. This and other orders (as requested) are being shipped with 1x2GB installed and another module provided to install later when the driver problem is resolved. These bugs are being worked on by Clevo and nVidia at this time. Sager is checking with their contacts nearly every day to get this resolved.

    We apologize for any inconvenience.

No inconvenience. I was just confused on all the side-effects of the problem. I thought the work around of disabling Aero did the trick.

Now that I know, it's not a big deal. A new driver will fix it at some point :).
