Clevo has locked the core multipliers for the M570RU, so this shouldn't really be possible. The M570RU-U (Sager's NP5793) can detect which processor you're using, and it will allow overclocking when using the Core 2 Duo Extreme X9000, but it still locks the core multipliers otherwise.

Some people have OCed using FSB i think. I`m sure they`ll show up, although the CPU is the last thing I`d OC in the RU. It`s by far the hottest component inside.

The normal RU can also be OCed like RU-U just with a 1.00.08 BIOS & EX CPU.

Now,there are people here on the forum that OCed their CPUs...from 2.0 to 2.3 for example.
    Naticus maybe?

use nTune....its easier, and somewhat safer than rivatuner.

OCing is never safe, there is no "safer" when OCing.
It`s a matter of stable and how much you`re willing to push it.
I use riva tuner also, but can`t get past 630/800 without getting artefacts. And that`s only 6050 point, a mere 400 points increase from 575/700. Somehow I was expecting more. Oh yea, I also get artefacts at 630/800 so I can`t even use that Oc :(

I dont OC to play unless I really see a significant performance gain. For instamce I have cod4, I have EVERY option turned on, 4xAA 16AF, VSYINC on, so my mx is 60fps because of the cap, well sometimes in maps where there is more smoke it can drop to 30ish fps, with OC that 30 is becomes 45-52 ish. But since i really cant tell a difference between 30, 42 I just leave it be. Oh well.
