    hi guys,

I have a weird problem. I do sound design, and use very specific hardware on my clevo barebone. It utilizes a special hardware dsp heavy machine, with native, dedicated software. Runs on an audio interface, connected via firewire. I have already posted a detailed description of the problem on the developers forum, but additional input is never without use.

I get this bluescreen after approx. 20min of use.

ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting

it happens ONLY with this setup, and is recreatable. I have never crashed the laptop before with anything.

I get the impression it has something to do with firewire....any ideas ??

regards and thank you for any input

Have you updated to the most recent service pack for your operating system (assuming Windows) and installed the most recent chipset drivers? The chipset drivers should include a new ohci1394.sys update.

You are correct, in that it's related to the firewire (1394) drivers, or at least, that's what's detailed in the BSOD. It looks to me like it's a straight up driver issue. Reinstalling and upgrading to the most recent firewire/chipset drivers should fix it, in addition to updating the overall system service pack if necessary.

hi malibal, thank you very much for your response.

Yes I am operating win 7 64bit, with latest service pack. I have also downloaded the newest chipset drivers for my x7200 but the installation seems really weird. It goes through with it, giving me the installation succesfull message, but in between theres nothing going on, any indication that an install is in effect. Or maybe the machine is so lightning fast that everything is done in a split second :D

Also, Ive treid checking the new ohci version, but cant seem to find any differences to the previous ones. There are some weird dates going on. For example, the last modified date is in 2009, when I didnt even have the computer yet.
