For those of you with a Sager 5750 what do you think of the screen quality?

Evitaerc, the screen was recently changed on the 5750 from a "matte" finish to a "glare type" glossy finish. This was a recent change last week. I dont know if anyone can comment on this screen yet with the recent update...

With the change it becomes the exact same screen as the 5760 (since it's the same chassis), of which there are several reviews already. Look up the reviews and threads on the 5760 and you'll get your answer.

It's not "exactly" the same screen though, is it? From the Sager site, it looks like the 5750 can only come with WXGA (1440x900) resolution, whereas the 5760 gives a choice between WSXGA+ (1680x1050) and WUXGA (1920x1200). I'm assuming that these stats already reflect the transition to "glare type" screens for the 5750. (Perhaps I'm wrong?)

In any case, how big of a deal is it to have WXGA vs. WSXGA+ vs. WUXGA? Would I notice an improvement at the higher resolutions when I play DVDs and/or games? Or is it mostly just going to affect the amount of stuff I can fit on my screen at once?

On a somewhat related note, given that there's a roughly $800 price difference between the 5750 and the 5760, does anyone have any idea roughly how much of that is due to the improvement in screen resolution (as opposed to the better 3D card)?

    Thanks.

Ah.. you are right. I forgot the difference in resolution. My bad.

The higher resolution would give you sharper/clearer images when viewing dvd's and playing games, along with more screen real estate.

Roughly half of that price difference is the video card, the 7900GTX 512M generally runs 350-400 more than the x1600. So I would guess the other 300+ is for the better LCD. The rest of the machine is pretty much the same.
