    Hey guys!

I am doing some research on flashing my bios for my 680m which is currently housed inside of a P150EM clevo.

Looking around at some modded bios versions has made me a little puzzled. I saw some people saying - ok this BIOS is only for sager laptops and this bios is only for clevo laptops.

My laptop is a clevo from shenker notebooks. I believe then that my 680M graphics card is a clevo card? Although in Nvidia Inspector give subvendor shenker.

Perhaps these are really stupid questions but I just wanna clear it up so I know that I am on track.

    Many thanks again!

    Cheers!

not a stupid question at all.
as im in the uk and got a schenker/mysn/xmg ill try to explain from what ive read on here but dont know the full story.

yes all the 150EM's are clevo but for some reason sager has a slightly different bios setup. the easiest way to explain this (hope im correct) is the HM and EM from sager has the option to put the fans on full pelt by pressing Fn + 1 (i think) but the EM series in most of the rest of the world has this option disconnected and it cant be turned on in the bios.

where did you buy it from, germany or the uk. you could always go on live chat on the uk site and ask their advice as they are the experts.
live chat is still active at 6.37pm so youve got roughly 20 minutes left and then they are closed for the easter holiday until tuesday. they might still have tech help on though from home as ive seen them on at almost midnight some times.

Sager is such a big customer of clevo that they can request different bios features.

you can still use the uk help as its the same company. just looked and they are now offline :(
keep an eye on the left hand side of the page. its grey now which means email only but when its green its live chat active mySN UK | XMG | by Schenker Notebooks

i know they were big but didnt know it was that big.
still a shame that the bios cant be overridden to activate that option, or can it Meaker :wink:

Ok well I have now updated successfully to the latest BIOS version for my EC and BIOS on my P150EM. Will now go ahead with trying the unlocked GPU BIOS.

Yes, so long as you write the correct pair of BIOS file with EC you can enable max fan button control. You do this at your own risk of course.

Could you perhaps go into this in more detail? Or is there another post somewhere you can link me to?

    Many thanks!
