So,it is the Intel Centrino advanced-N 6235 wireless card with the bluetooth adapter.
Now the Clevo drivers supplied for this card are Intel Proset/wireless software for both wifi and bluetooth.
I have enabled Bluetooth in BIOS. I have uninstalled using revo, cleaned with ccleaner, tried default windows- installed drivers, reinstalled the proset package. I have scoured the net for drivers for this adapter...
Forget the simple things like allowing devices to find and connect to the laptop - I HAVE TRIED THEM ALL.
The funny thing is my devices CAN find my laptop. They can even start to connect to it, but what happens then is that I asked to confirm an arbitrary( I know because it changes every time) passcode, and then I am denied. Nowhere can I make adjustments to these connection settings. There seems to be some low- level lock that prevents connection here, and I am about to loose my mind......
Does anybody else have these problems with the same setup ?
    Please?

sorry but this has to be asked... you did turn it on with Fn & F12 didnt you. the amount of people that forget that bit over the years. :D

all i do is turn it on and right click the bt icon on the taskbar and click receive file. i then send file from phone or wherever and the first time it will search for devices.once its found the device click send to and it should pair up and go.
    ive also got the 6235

you can find the driver from may > Software Upgrade

Thanks for the quick answer. Yes, I did switch it on with FN F12, though when you enable bluetooth power in bios you dont have to of course, it turns on by itself. I found the solution, and I can post it here in case anyone has this problem. Go to control panel > administrative tools > services. Double click services. Double click bluetooth support service. Go to the log on tab and check this account. Now paste NT AUTHORITY\LocalService in the field next to it and press apply at the bottom. Local service should appear in the field you pasted in. Now why these settings come in default like they did I do not know. I guess it is because of security.
