I normally never use the mousepad. So i just discovered it today that my mousepad doesn't function properly. The righter side doesn't work the left side till the finger printer works fine. I already tried reinstalling the drivers but it still doesn't works. is there maybe a hidden mousepad calibration?

I don't want to bring back the laptop to fix it it. if their is a way to manually fix. Than please tell me.

    thanks in advance!

hmm..... maybe it is bcz of mouse gestures? you know lots of touchpads have their left side used as normal navigation and the right/bottom side for scrolling.
so going left or right in the right edge won't move the cursor but going down and up will just result in scrolling up/down in the page, left/right for the bottom side.

@Black5lion thanks for your reply. The scrolling doesn't work either. I found out that it's a hardware issue.

This is what I think the problem is. I have used the synaptics pressure graph to test the problem.
The trackpad is far less sensitive at the right side. I think the touchpad is not making good contact with the surface.
I would like to fix the problem myself. I already email my vendor but they said it would need at least 2 weeks to fix it because they have to send it to Clevo.

So does anybody know how to access the touchpad I just need to tighten it a little bit.
I already have tried taking the bottom and keyboard off but that doesn't give me full access to the touchpad.
I have looked at the service manual and I think I need to take off the top(the full top cover where your palm rests) or the whole bottom.
If anybody knows how to please tell me.
    Thanks in advance.

ive got the latest P15xEMx and that doesnt have scrolling on the right either. so its not broken it just doesnt have it.

try pressing Fn & F1 to turn it off. then again to turn it on again. if that doesnt work then turn it of again and then reload the driver.
where are you getting the driver from, is it the driver disk that came with your laptop.

it does sound like its slightly faulty as if it was a driver problem then none of it would work.

Well you can turn on the one finger scrolling in the synaptics settings. But it's off default.

I am pretty sure that the problem is that the touchpad has a bad contact with the surface. If I press really firmly at the side of trackpad the surface will bend down a little and the sensitivity will improve. So if I can just tighten it a little, the problem will be resolved. I hope..
