Search and find no result on this topic.
Basically my 6990 failed and now I am trying to get the gtx 670 to work.

The p150hm bios is not reading the card.
How can I get this to work?

You mean your system works properly, but the BIOS just shows "Empty", right?
In this case you can just add the GPU ID (the '0000') to the driver inf, maybe Laptopvideo2go.com has those already in their modded inf files by now
or you could cross-flash the card with the Clevo GTX 570M vBIOS, but I think the clocks are atad lower.

I am also going to release a mod BIOS, which will output proper IDs also with the newer cards on the older HM systems.

I think he means the card doesent work at all and the BIOS doesent see it either.
The HM series had different BIOS for AMD cards (as far as I can recall).

    I may be wrong, though.
But I remember reading something similar about BIOS problems when switching from NVidia to an AMD card (it was the opposite way around).

Right now the bios are not reading the card, windows 8 is also not reading the card at all.

b0b1man is correct in that the bios do not see the card.

If you can boot the Notebook and get into BIOS & Windows 8 then it is reading the card... ;)

What Hardware ID does "Device Manager" report for GPU?

EDIT: If I happen to misunderstand the situation and you can not switch the Notebook on at all, kindly let me know your BIOS & EC version. Also what vBIOS version in written on the sticker on the GPU. Is it a Clevo GTX670M?

I am able to run the laptop right now since it is running on the on board intel gpu.

It is just not reading the nvidia card.

When I got the card the only sticker on the card was one the said gtx 670m.
It is a card that should be able to be run on the clevo according to the seller.

    Bios on the labtop are EC/KBC V 1.00.09 & BIOS V 1.01.10

Guessing it probably need a vbios?

P150hm cannot utilize the intel gpu. It's a known fact. What I suspect is the issue is that you cannot install a driver for your gpu and Windows is running in "Default Graphic Accelerator" mode. (forgive me if I didn't remember the correct terminology). The default nvidia drivers for 6xxM series will not install on p150hm without modding the inf file in the driver. OP should go to laptopvideo.org and download a modded driver + inf file and try with that.

The integrated GPU is not working in the HM Clevo series.
Its totally disconnected and NOT wired to the display.
So you are running on the Nvidia basic adapter settings (VGA mode).
That means the card is working.
This also means you will only need to flash another BIOS in order to make the GTX670m get recognized.
Or maybe a VBIOS as well.

Prema is our BIOS expert here on the forums, he will assist you further with this ;)

    EDIT: just got ninja'd by M3ezu :D

That sounds more like a P170HM than P150HM...anyway please backup your old BIOS with Afuwin:

    https://www.rapidshare.com/files/2767281612/afuwin64.rar

Just use stock settings and hit save.

After that you should make a bootable flashdrive and update your system with this BIOS & EC

Then download the latest Nvidia driver and use this inf to install it.

    ENJOY your new card!

Hey, I'm trying to do exactly the same right now, except having a P150HMx instead of P150HM. Can I still just follow the steps you posted above? If so, can you maybe reupload the manipulated nvcvn.inf or tell me what to manipulate?

    Thanks in advance :)
