    Hello all,
Firstly i'd just like to say this forum has been very useful for finding out information for a not very well known brand of laptop, Its been very helpful but I have never had the need to post...Until now

Basically if i try and play a highly demanding game for the gpu (skyrim, bf3 etc) the whole laptop will instantly shutdown but under light load it is fine for a while (40mins) and then shutsdown. e.g. playing dota. So first thought was it could of been thermal related but I recently cleaned out the fans and the temps never goes above 70degC before a shutdown. Now for the odd part...It will run furmark and msi combustor fine without shutting down.
I should mention the gpu is a 580m.

The other odd thing is that when the gpu is under load it tries to use the battery even when the dc jack is plugged in. This doesnt happen in 2d mode or vey light load. So then I thought it was psu related but it will run dota with the battery removed but will still instantly shutdown on other games. It also doesnt have an issue running prime whilst charging the battery and having screen on full brightness so i think the psu can supply enough power.

So to sum up I don't really know what going on so any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks
