For all those who are deciding on which chassis to get (or who are just too anxious waiting for theirs to arrive), Current owners or re-sellers may, perhaps, share how the finish looks, feels like.

    Guide questions:
    1. How scratch proof is the finish?
    2. Is the finish fingerprint proof?
    3. How BLACK is the finish?
    4. What is your opinion about it.

    Pictures may help as well.

I currently am waiting for my p151hm from Malibal and the wait is killing me. For now, I'm curious as to what I'll be missing from the Rubberized finish of the p150hm(other than GPU upgrade)

There are few detailed reviews with pictures on both models here

I believe that the rubberized finish is more scratch proof, fingerprint proof but can attract more dust. It is personal preference but as far as I read majority think that the rubberized looks more premium and others hate it :)

The common complain about the rubberized is that the touch-pad feels uncomfortable

I ordered P150HM mainly for the graphic card upgrade regardless it was rubberized or no.

I have some old WD Elements externals with these rubber grips on the end that I imagine are the same texture as the P150. Trying to use the trackpad with a texture like that combined with 1080p resolution would be hell... a mouse is best for either model I think.

Also both the P150 and P151 are fingerprint proof and I don't know about the former but the P151 is probably blacker than you think. It looked so sleek I changed my mind about ordering some decals for it

Thank you for the replies! :)

In most photos, the p151hm looks kinda grey, perhaps because of the flash. How noticeable are the sparkling specs on the plastic?

I guess I dodged the "grippy trackpad" issue. My razer Mamba mouse did had scratches on its rubberized finish. I'm assuming it has a somewhat similar feel to it, looks elegant but may shred easily on the edges.

I believe the one internal difference between the two platforms is that the P151HM uses an Intel HM65 chipset while the P150HM uses the Intel HM67 chipset. AFAIK, the difference between the two chipsets is that the HM67 supports RAID and Intel's Extreme Tuning Utility.

Nope, both models actually use the same motherboard chipset (HM65). The P170HM supports the HM67 though, as does the P180. From a motherboard perspective, the P150HM and P151HM1 are the same. The really only differ in power supply size, stock screen, and external finish.
