If you have a P170EM and wish to use a 900M series video card, and you have been having issues, and you have followed all those after market support threads and nothing worked, (Videocard not being detected by bios, even after upgrade etc..)

    please do the following:

This Works for all version, like Neptune 2/X , NP9170 , P170EM etc..
(NOTE : If you have P170SM/SM-A this is NOT the same bios nor the same EC )

Please flash your BIOS and EC to a normal version instead of Prema.

EC: **removed old links** ask me if needed
    BIOS: **same***

Make a bootable USB using RUFUS https://rufus.akeo.ie/
Then make a folder name EC on the USB and extract the EC to it
Then make a folder name BIOS on the USB and extract the BIOS to it
Go into your bios and make sure that UEFI is DISABLED.

    To Flash the EC

    1. Make sure AC Adapter is plugged in.
    2. Press F7 for the boot menu, boot from usb drive
    3. Change directory to EC (cd ec).
    4. Run ecflash.Bat this process may take few minutes.
    5. After flash is finished, please turn off the system.
    6. Replug AC Adapter one times.

    To Flash the Bios

    7. Make sure AC Adapter is plugged in.
    8. Press F7 for the boot menu, boot from usb drive
    9. Change directory to bios (CD bios)
    10. Run meset.exe in DOS mode, and it will auto restart.
    11. Press F7 for the boot menu and select usb drive
    12. Change directory to bios (cd bios)
    13. Run flashme.Bat this process may take few minutes.
    14. After flash is finished, please turn off the system.
    15. Replug AC Adapter one times.

I am putting this here, because there have been a dozen people every week or so, with this issue, and this is how we solve it every time.

No stock version does detect a 9xxM, has P'n'P driver support or even works properly with latest driver...Prema Mod Partner shops are NOT using the public v2 BIOS.
Eurocom and other have received special BIOS Mods for this very reason...

So, wait, the stock bioses are fine, right ? Okay that's what I understood too. but the issues were only resolved with the EC, and the bios. So maybe it's just the EC then, or are you saying it is the "special" bioses people are using that do not have the support ?
I just wanted to help a bunch of people who obvious look for this information, and do not find it anywhere easily, and keep coming to me for it.

To have Plug'n'Play support with BIOS detection, proper GPU switching and performance we need to use the v3 Mod.
No stock BIOS and EC version can provide that to the user...

It's the same old base the Mods use...sadly they never officially supported any GPU after the GTX680M on the EM-series...

Indeed the latest officially supported card was the 680M in this machine which can make the odd driver issue pop up even with a mod.
