hey all my p177sm just died playing BF4 on battery, i was moving into a better position and i had the laptop unpluged and after bout 5 - 10 mins the computer just died no bsod just plain old off.
i turned it on again and there was no errors or crash report at all ??
where can i look for a crash report
and has anybody have an idea about this kinda thing because im a little scared to try and replicate the issue
thermals should have been good with the gpu not going over 83 and cpu about the same from all the recent stress tests

You can have a look in event viewer for logs.

If I were to take a stab at what happened here is that leaving it unplugged for that long whilst on BF4 - your battery wasn't enough to power your GPU/CPU and as safety precaution the machine cut out before any damage could be done.

I'm not 100% what the battery can provide in terms of wattage, but it definitely cannot provide 180w of juice - so I would be quitting games to desktop, running fans down then unplugging and relocating next time.

that is possible when i think about it i wish there was a way to monitor total wattage so i could test this theory

Batteries will simply not last long while your gpu and cpu are working hard. Nothing to worry about, but I'd personally never unplug my laptop while gaming. I'd only think of my battery as a UPS while gaming (save and close :) ).

Edit: In regards to wattage, you could buy a in-wall meter that goes between the plug and power outlet that'll show realtime power consumption.

CPU and GPU throttle heavily when on battery. But if it's drawing too much power, it just will shut down.

The battery will have shut off to protect itself.

easiest way to kill a battery prematurely as they just were not designed to game on except for flash games like candy crush.

If you force optimus into igp only mode then older 3D titles will run on that on battery.
