I have found out that if i lift the laptop while running on battery, it sometimes goes out.
I just tryed twisting the laptop a bit and it goes out, is there a way to reinforce the connection from the battery to the laptop ?
hate to have to ship it back, got it yestoday.

Maybe some clever use of blutak? However such a physical issue should be reported.

Now everything else is PERECT in this system so I really am not happy with the idea of sending it back, unless they decide to send me a better battery.... What I did is took a small rubberband and got a small piece of cardboard and use the rubberband to hold the card b The oard in place on the side where there is an overhang... The battery was then a really SNUG fit.... since then.... even though I'm do So far *knock on wood" I have NOT yet had a problem. I don't plan on giving it a work out, but it passed the twist test so I will tke it.... I will call Sager and see what they say.... Just looks like either the connectors or the batter connectors need to be tweaked to provide a bit more pressure to the contacts....

I always thought that battery had fit in there a bit too loose compared to my other laptops, but I thought maybe this connector was different...

    Nope...

Nothings perfect, but at over 3Gs?? :) If anyone has the problem, try sungging down the battery... while my fix is a duct tape type of Macgyver , you could probably use Duct Tape on spots to make the fit more snug... over all it works and you can't see it... not like I pull the battery every day.... :)

not sure of your model but does the battery have the two locking clips that should spring back to lock the battery in place. one of mine is a bit tight and just needs a little help and it locks. if yours is still lose then thats a fault that you shouldnt have to put up with after spending mega $$$ on it.

Just as MrDJ mentioned there is a battery lock tab, with the computer upside down and vents facing away its the tab on the right. Make sure its slid to right which is the locked position.

Right, and if the lock mechanism is broken, then it should be reported. Seems that nearly anything can happen during handling of freight, so hopefully it is not damaged per fault of the carrier. But just about all laptops with a removable battery have a sliding clip that locks the battery in place.
