    Hi!
I'm trying to connect my Dell u2711 display via display port and finally got it to run with extended desktop. But the problem is I can't change it to 2540x1440 native resolution. Every time I change it the display blacks out. Could my new DP to mini DP cable be faulty? It runs 1080p resolution just fine. Maybe I have to buy an adapter and try my old DP to DP cable that I know would certainly work..
    Any ideas?

Problem found! I'll leave this here if someone founds this useful.
I'm almost certain it's the cables fault. I made a custom resolution 2460x1440 with 50Hz and it works. So I think 3m lowish quality cable wont put up to 60Hz. Time to get a shorter cable :)
