Every time I connect my laptop to an external monitor or screen and try to launch a program the program tabs out and displays the error message,
"Aux Switch has stopped working, A problem caused the program to stop working. please close the program"
However, the program never stops working. if i tab back into the program it just tabs back out and displays the error message again.
If I disconnect from the external monitor and just use the built in screen, everything works fine.

I can not find any info on this error anywhere online.

    anyone have any ideas?

Aux switch is a dedicated IC on motherboard. Do you have latest BIOS and EC firmware? If yes, it's probably damaged hardware...

Does it matter if the internal panel is on/off, does it do this in both Hybrid mode and dedicated mode? (It should not matter but just in case)

I recently just started having the same problem, also with a P650HS-G. OP, any luck fixing it?
