    Hi All

As soon as the new stock comes in I'll be buying a p650se here in Oz.
The inclusion of a sim reader has me interested in adding an aftermarket LTE modem.
    I have some questions however.
From the photos I have seen the only antenna cables in the p650se run to the wifi m.2 slot
So if I add lte do I loose wifi??? It seems so.
I guess I could run new cables but the convenience factor would exceed the amount of use I would get out of LTE.

    So am I missing something?
I suppose there may be some lte/wifi cards out there but I haven't seen any.

So is there a solution or does this go in the too hard basket.

Is this something new for the P650SE? Check the N15xSD it already has the SIM slot.

Check the pics in the NotebookCheck review. Right side pic shows SIM slot. One internal pic shows the wireless M.2 and LTE/UMTS M.2. You'll see antenna wires to both.

I haven't seen a lot of Clevo sellers offer the LTE cards, or at least that I noticed. Doing a search for 3042 LTE cards, it looks like there is a handful of them out there but not many. It is a slim chance, but you could maybe contact a wireless provider and see if they have any idea if they offer them at all. You might have better luck contacting a business customer service / sales side, instead of a consumer sales / service channel, as they might deal with those more often. If you do buy one, make sure it uses the same wireless bands for your wireless provider that you want to use though. It should have some indication of the bands or at least regions it is designed to work within.

    Thanks.
I'm going to get the machine regardless so I guess I'll just wait to see what cabling exists.
I noticed that one Australian retailer is offing a DVB-T tuner as an option. Presumably there are some antenna for that.

I confirmed with the Oz supplier, metabox, that there is no LTE wiring in their models.

So unless I say otherwise when I get it in a week or so people should take it that we don't get LTE in Australian models

Now that I have taken delivery of my p650sg I can confirm that the Australian importer Metabox has not opted to support LTE.
So there is no possibility of a hack or mod either.
The SIM card reader is not present on the motherboard and there is a plastic blanking panel to block off the slot in the case.
There are no antenna wires either.

Oh well it hasn't soured my experience. So far this is an awesome laptop!!

I tend to use my phone as a modem if I need that, then again in the UK being able to tether is pretty common.
