    hello i have an older p775tm1-g with 8700k and 1060. Can i simply swap out the gpu for rtx 2000 series mxm card?

    hey Hollo321, technically yes you can, but your going to have to replace the heatsink assembly as well. i know RJTech sells a complete setup but its pricey. i THINK you can also pickup an upgrade kit from Sager too. (don't quote me on that though).

    cool thanks, so also new heatsink as well for it. After replacing the hardware, do you know if need any kind of bios/firmware mod? I have regular nonpremo bios

    You need to have the latest BIOS. I think last version is 1.07.XX.
    After you have the new heatsink and card you need to clear drivers with DDU and do CMOS reset.

    It got the newer cards so the official BIOS does mean you don't need the modified drivers.

    Where would a fellow clevo owner get a new mxm rtx vga module for adequate price, by the way?

    Well they are not officially sold for consumers but there are some outlets like RJtech, ebay and the members market on here.

    Usually the reseller will include a guide with it.
