It's neither the newest nor does it support KBL.
Don't believe everything you read on the internet. ;)

when I had problems with my 1070 initially, simply flashing a gsync vbios worked and it has been working since.

When I had to flash the vbios I flashed the G-Sync vbios even though the feature doesn't work. I know it's very counter intuitive but it worked.

saw a Thai teardown of the MSI vortex and wearing flip flops while doing the teardown is a no-no :D

I wonder if a vbios from an MSI laptop would work....like the one I am using? or would it just fail to boot?

The one attached is for a gsync MSI 1070 for a laptop. not sure if it'll work but worth the try I guess.

I used our vbios, but the hardware still the same, the driver I modified was an older driver, think 390 something... and the file I modified was the NVMI.INF

here is the link to make it work in the F5 with a non- gSync vbios : https://www.dropbox.com/sh/1r1925rb1f36j6q/AACrgUqOI4bOVOWqP_ngtxUMa?dl=0

you still have to disable DSE and run setup as admin etc..

EUROCOM said they tried modding the drivers and such and always returned a error 43 when it installed and such, well I ran it and restarted and ran benches etc.. everything was nominal and correct and had no issues. infact the card ran pretty smooth, maybe 3-4 better than the last bench I saw someone else run, but that could be chalked up to other hardware as well..

I ran in the F5 with a 7700K and cheap Corsair RAM and on a 1TB HDD, with an IPS FHD panel (so it at least looks good to my eyes..)

    here is firestrike.
    https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/28911059?
(keep in mind, did not touch the CPU, no delidding or special pasting or OC etc..)

stock firmware and system bios too

    Hello guys,
Sorry to resurrect this thread but I'm currently facing the same issue and I would like to know if you have found any kind of solution with the Vortex G65 cards.
My situation is this one :
    Laptop : GT72VR 6RE with G-sync and 1070 (1BE1)
    My original 1070 card died
I bought an other taken out of a G65VR 6RE Vortex
After A LOT of troubles, I discovered thanks to @bennyg that only 375.70 drivers would work.

However I would Like to know if some of you managed to update with newer drivers?
Other linked question : how do you bypass Easy Anti Cheat checking in online games when you have installed drivers with driver signature enforcement disabled?

    Thanks a lot!

It could be down to going with a different vbios in that case.
